Halal Food in London
Halal food

Traveling around usually consume time. So be prepared and have some food with you. Because in contrast of country with Muslim majority people, you can't simply stop by and eat in any restaurant. However, not to worry because there is still supermarket/shop such as Tesco that sell vegetarian sandwich or tuna sandwich. Not that bad eh.

But it will be a good break to find some nice restaurant, enjoy and relax, and have some quality time with friends and family after going around.

There is quite a lot of Muslim population in East London. Place such as Leyton in Stratford (stop at Leyton Station) provide number of halal restaurant around there. But it's pretty far from the heart of London as it is in Zone 4.

If you just want to closer place, stop by in Aldgate East Station and go to Brick Lane street. There is lot of halal restaurant along the way.

Places that I know, or got it from people.

  1. Mawar Restaurant - Edgware Road
Malaysian restaurant. There is a 'satay' house close to the restaurant
  2. Brick Lane
Stop at Aldgate East Station. A lot of halal restaurant along the way. And there is a mosque also in this lane

Place to pray

Time management is crucial. Especially in winter time when Zohor and Asar time is so short. Make sure you refer to prayer schedule to arrange a better journey.

Searching for the word 'mosque' in Google Maps is a good option because you can find the nearest mosque to the place you are going to visit.

Just bring prayer mat together as you might want to 'just pray anywhere' you find it convenient.
